Our village has supplied the Parisian dance halls named « Guinguettes » for centuries. Nowadays, we are reviving this tradition with this still wine, with fruity and floral aromas.
In 1577, via the 88km radius of Paris decree, Henry III created the Guinguet: the rough wine sold in the Parisian dance halls for centuries. Well before a famous monk created Champagne, our village of Charly-sur-Marne was located inside this special area not subject to the taxes imposed by the City of Paris. Our village therefore supplied the Parisian dance halls with a still white wine, ideal for socialising and partying. We are now reinventing this tradition with our Coteaux Champenois Blanc Collection, each reflecting their history: a grape variety, a terroir, a vintage…
